Briggs Game

            The directors want to thank all band members and parents who made the best of a very difficult weather situation on Friday.  Luckily, that is a very rare occurrence and we will hope for good weather from here on out.

Squad Leader Dinner

            Our first squad leader dinner is tonight at 6:15.  Squad leaders should arrive between 6:00 and 6:10 and give $4 to our Band Secretary, Alejandra Esson.  Rehearsal for all band members begins at 7:00 PM.

Information Sheets

            These forms were due Friday.  Those still on in by today will receive a band demerit.  We hope everyone has taken care of this.

Closer

            The wind parts to “His Name is Lancelot” will be passed out today.  We will start learning drill to it on Monday, September 8, so please work hard to get it learned and memorized.  The percussion parts will probably arrive tonight.

            Our goal this week is to get the first 3 pieces “contest ready” by the end of the week so we can have a full two weeks to prepare the closer for our first competition on September 20.

Lockers

            You should have a combination lock on your band locker by today.  Anyone without a lock by Wednesday will receive a band demerit.
